Classroom Session:
This class will help participants to build their confidence in using their equipment while understanding the process of creating a portrait.

Introduction to Portrait Photography - Overview of topics & sub-topics
The Comfortable Side - Learn the fundamentals to pose any subject
Posing the arms, hands fingers, shoulders and heads
Posing Men & Women
Making your subjects Younger, Slimmer & Taller in photos
Portrait Crops - Learn the correct portrait croppings and when to use them
The Actual Front - Learn how to make your subject look more friendly & engaging
Coded Smiles - Getting the suitable smiles for your subjects
Camera Settings - Setup your camera correctly for portrait shoots
Portrait Lighting - Learn how to shoot your portraits using Natural lighting & Induced lighting
Calculating your lights - Get perfect lighting values in every shot using a Lighting Power Formula
Lighting Different Faces - Matching the correct lighting to different facial structures

Practical Sessions:
The practical session will ensure that participants get the following hands on:
Pose a model comfortably using the concept of “Comfortable Sides”
Use different poses for Men & Women
Tweak their subject’s posing for fingers, shoulder & head
Set up the lights to favor the subject’s facial features
Set the correct camera settings for portraits
Shoot at angles that would make their subjects younger, slimmer & taller
Craft different lighting styles creatively

Class Details:

Full-day class from 10am to 5pm.
Meals are excluded. You can have your own lunch at the restaurants nearby the academy.
Certificate of Completion is awarded upon your completion of this course.
Course is divided into 2 sections throughout both day: Theory Session and Practical Session.
We maintain a low student-to-trainer ratio allowing for better learning & shooting opportunities & experimentation with various camera settings.
Professional models/actors will be hired by us to allow participants to practise their newly learned skills on shooting.
Participants will receive 2 years of E-Learning access to contents of this course, these include videos, cheat-sheets and also summary notes, which you can watch or download/print at your own convenience.
There is a minimum number of 2 participants for this course.
